I’ll start by sharing with you the thoughts of Lynne Twist, a remarkable thought leader in the field of abundance and money. She dives into the mindset of scarcity, of “not enough-ness,” of ‘poverty consciousness’ (vs. prosperity consciousness) as it’s called.
Before we even sit up in bed, before our feet touch the floor, we’re already inadequate, already behind, already losing, already lacking something. And by the time we go to bed at night, our minds race with a litany of what we didn’t get, or get done, that day. We go to sleep burdened by those thoughts and wake up to that reverie of lack.
This mantra of not enough carries the day and becomes a kind of default setting for our thinking about everything, from the cash in our pocket to the people we love or the value of our own lives.
This is why doing inner work is vital, because my/our thoughts are creative and produce our experience. So we must declutter, release, unearth, and replace the faslehoods with goodness and Truth so that building a business is not so hard. Ease and grace are your birthright, but many of you are still slogging through. I say that with love because I am guilty of that too, more often than I care to admit.
So we must remove the cobwebs of our conditioning, clean up our psyches so our Spirits can shine through, and invite in the wealth that is ours to have.
Most people I talk to will say that their biggest obstacle to true success is themselves…
And one of the biggest culprits holding us back is the “Not-Enough Syndrome”:
I/You/They are not enough.
When you come from a place of not-enoughness, you are actually doing everyone a disservice. You disempower yourself, and you disempower others. This applies in business (“my clients aren’t this or that; my team members aren’t this or that; my husband isn’t this or that”…you get the idea…”)
This is a cancer. You MUST be watchful and nip it in the bud. Do you realize you’ll never be able to change the conditions you don’t want, whether it’s your marriage or your bank account, unless you see these things as perfect and whole and not broken or in need of fixing or not enough? It doesn’t mean you can’t improve, but you may never feel satisfied and at peace if the glass is always half empty. So begin with gratitude for what IS and of course set your intention for what you want while you root out old beliefs that don’t serve you.
If you hear me, then choose to push past this. Be vigilant about your ideas about success and money, and pipe in Truth on a regular basis. You deserve to feel successful & satisfied and YOU ARE ENOUGH!
